Lucas Hoium, Dental Assistant
Hi there, my name is Lucas but most people call me Luke! I am 22 years old and am a Board Certified Licensed Dental Assistant! I grew up in Montevideo, attended Montevideo Senior High and Graduated in 2021. My interest prior to graduating was some sort of Health care! I attended Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Canby MN, where I graduated with my Dental Assisting Degree in 2022. I gained my first year of experience at a practice in a different location and then began my journey with Main Street Dental in October of 2023. I was offered an opportunity to advance my scope into becoming IV sedation certified. Outside of work my two favorite hobbies are hunting and fishing. I enjoy building fishing rods and performing taxidermy services. Considering my interests outside of work, I never thought that I would enjoy dentistry as much as I do now! I have realized it takes a special type of person to enjoy working in someone’s mouth everyday and I like to think I qualify as that type of special person!
